In honor of National Women’s Small Business Month, Maisha Walker and a panel of small business experts provided strategies and tips on issues affecting women entrepreneurs.

According to the inaugural Bank of America Women Business Owner Spotlight, women entrepreneurs are split on whether the glass ceiling directly affects them, with 46 percent saying they have felt limited by the glass ceiling at some point in their careers. The majority of women entrepreneurs believe they have the same access to key resources as men, however, 28 percent of women entrepreneurs still feel they do not have the same access to capital as their male counterparts.

Some of the topics Maisha and her co-panelists discussed were landing government contracts, building relationships, finding mentors and advocates, accessing capital, and generally being rockstars! “Meet” and learn from Maisha and her co-panelists in this recorded Google Hangout panel sponsored by Bank of America!

Speakers:

  • Carol Roth (CNBC) – Host
  • Maisha Walker (Pres-Elect, NAWBO NYC)
  • Elizabeth Romero (BofA Small Business Exec)
  • Erin Andrew (Assistant Administrator, SBA)
